The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the event.

Complimentary coffee and refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to attend.

People are being asked to submit their questions by April 25, 2024 by emailing L.il.jub@hotmail.com.

The following candidates are listed on the ballot for the by-election:

– Steve Pinsonneault – PC Party of Ontario

– Kathryn Shailer – Ontario NDP/NPD

– Andraena Tilgner – Green Party of Ontario (GPO)

The by-election was sparked after MPP Monte McNaughton, who was also the Minister of Labour in Ontario, announced his resignation back in September.

“It is always difficult to know the right time to leave politics,” McNaughton said in a statement issued on Friday morning, September 22, 2023.

“It has been the honour of a lifetime to serve the people of Ontario as Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development for more than four years. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the people of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. It has been a privilege to have represented you since 2011.”

A writ was issued on April 3, 2024 for the by-election.

Voting day will be May 2, 2024.
