Deborah Vandendool

Deb Vandendool, a resident of St. Clair Township, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the age of 49.

Deb is the daughter of Herman and Margie (Overgaauw) Zwiers. Beloved wife of Wayne, and loving mother to Megan (Will) Johnston, Joel, and Curtis. Cherished grandmother of Emma Johnston. Dear sister of Rick and Carole Zwiers, Linda and Fred Mulder, and Karen and Ben Zandstra. Beloved daughter-in-law to Peter and Ann VAndendool. Sister-in-law to Gary and Jennifer Vandendool, Christine and Alfred Feddes, and Dave Vandendool. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Deb was a loving and caring mother, who never complained. Despite the many years of fighting cancer and the constant roller coaster ride that her life had become, she was always said that someone had it worse than her. Deb was a fighter, a survivor, and she didn’t go down without a fight. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church, 150 Bruinsma Ave, Wallaceburg on Wednesday August 21, 2019 from 1-4pm & 6-9pm. The funeral will be at the church on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11am. Interment to follow at MacDonald Cemetery, Port Lambton. Arrangements entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. If desired, remembrances to Wallaceburg Christian School or ACT Now may be left at the funeral home.
