Roll up to the Chatham-Kent Museum’s brand new exhibit, “Carnivals! Festivals! Fairs! Oh My!” opening August 28, 2019. Get ready to celebrate all things fairs in Chatham-Kent!  From the Jaycee Fair and the Dresden Exhibition to the Merlin Fair and Blenheim Cherry Fest, there is something for everyone at this fun- filled, interactive exhibit.

Running until June 2020, “Carnivals! Festivals! Fairs! Oh My!” will not only have you discovering the history of Chatham-Kent’s fairs by examining artifacts, costumes, photographs and more, but also “experiencing” it. You can perform on stage, play carnival games, hop on the “merry-go-round,” or even milk a cow! Oh My!

Fairs are a time for communities to come together to share, explore, and celebrate, so come one, come all to “Carnivals! Festivals! Fairs! Oh My!”

The Chatham-Kent Museum is open Wednesday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For more information, please visit www.chatham-kent.ca/CKMuseum or follow us on Facebook @Chatham Cultural Centre and Twitter @Cultural Centre1!
