Lugnuts hosting provincials in Port Lambton

The Lambton County Lugnuts Baseball Club will be hosting the Vintage Baseball Federation of Ontario +35 Ontario Provincial Championships this weekend at VanDamme Park in Port Lambton and the newly named Eric MacKenzie Field in Courtright.

The Lambton County Lugnuts consists of mainly players aged 35+ from the various teams in the Western Counties Senior Mens League.

A number of Port Lambton Pirates are members of the Lugnuts.

The Lugnuts open the tournament on Saturday morning against Dufferin-Simcoe at 11:30 a.m. followed by at matchup at 1 p.m. against Scarborough.

Both games will be played in Port Lambton.

The playoff round will be held Sunday in Port Lambton.
