Man charged with domestic related offences
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation between a man and woman at a residence in Wallaceburg.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Shoplifting leads to charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Canadian Tire in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was also breaching his address condition.
A 22-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with his release conditions.
He was released pending a future court date of November 6, 2019.
Executed warrants
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol observed a man on King Street in Chatham who was wanted for property related offences, break and enter, breaching his release conditions, failing to attend for his fingerprints and court.
The 49-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol observed a man riding a bicycle on Bruce Street who was wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at Walmart, breaching his Probation Order and failing to attend court.
As the man saw the cruiser, he jumped off his bicycle and fled on foot.
Following a short foot chase, the man was taken into custody.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police received information as to the whereabouts of a woman on the Wanted List.
Officers located the woman who was wanted for property related offences and failing to attend court.
The 25-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with break and enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Earlier this month, unknown suspects entered four storage units within a secure compound in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible.
Last night, an officer on general patrol on Lowe Avenue observed the man in a field.
As the officer approached the man, he fled on foot.
Following a foot chase, through a bush area and into an open field, the man was taken into custody near Gillard Street.
The 26-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with four counts of break and enter.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
