Enjoy a dinner out on GivingTuesday

For anyone who ever wished to have the power to make a really big impact on their community now is your chance. On December 3rd, local restaurants throughout Chatham-Kent will be participating in Paint the Town Red and welcome you to make that really big impact just by enjoying a great meal at your favourite restaurant.

Last year, Chatham-Kent spent the night out with their family & friends for Paint The Town Red. Together with the support of 12 participating restaurants, United Way of Chatham-Kent was able to raise $4,098 on GivingTuesday. This year United Way stands ready to keep the momentum going, with 14 restaurants on board to help tackle #UNIGNORABLE issues in CK.

If you’ve never participated in Paint the Town Red, mark your calendar. It’s truly an evening where everyone wins because the community will enjoy dining out, our participating local eateries will be bustling, and part of the food sales will go to support the 30+ funded United Way programs in Chatham-Kent. For a full list of participating restaurants visit uwock.ca/events.

GivingTuesday is an international movement that harnesses the generosity of millions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and help solve critical issues in their communities. Established in 2012, as a celebratory kickoff to the holiday giving season, GivingTuesday happens on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday and has become a worldwide philanthropic event. This year, GivingTuesday will be on December 3, and you can join in to help power change, whether it’s your first time or you’ve participated before.
