Man charged with uttering threats

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Late yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance on Colborne Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the man was in possession of a wooden board when he threatened another man.

Upon police arrival, the man fled on foot.

Following a short foot chase, the man was taken into custody.

The 25-year-old Chatham man has been charged with being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and breach of probation.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday night, the man damaged the vehicle of a man known to him with a bat.

Last night, police located the man and he was arrested.

The 34-year-old Shrewsbury man was charged with mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with his release conditions.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a woman wanted in connection with cashing a stolen cheque.

A 39-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with fraud and being in possession of property obtained by a crime.

She was released pending a future court date of December 17, 2019.

Theft of tools in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, unknown suspects entered a shed on Victoria Street and stole various tools.
