Man arrested from ‘Wanted List’

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 11:30 p.m. police received information that a man from the ‘Wanted List’ was at a business on Richmond Street in Chatham.

Officers located the man and he was arrested on outstanding warrants for theft under $5,000 and breach of probation.

Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of oxycodone.

Officers further learned that he was also currently bound by a daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The 41-year-old Dresden man additionally charged with failing to comply and drug possession.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a man wanted in connection with a disturbance involving two people known to him, attended police headquarters and turned himself in.

The 25-year-old Dawn Euphemia man was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats.

He was released pending a future court date of January 29, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police attended Walmart in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint.

Officers located the man inside the store and he was charged under the Trespass to Property Act.

Through investigation, police learned that he was also wanted by the London Police Service.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and turned over to officers from London for court purposes.

Woman charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a break and enter at a residence in Chatham Township.

Through investigation, police learned that a woman known to the homeowner forced her way into the home.

The 20-year-old Bothwell woman was arrested and charged with break and enter.

She was released pending a future court date of January 29, 2020.

Pair charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police received information that the men were together, even though both were currently bound by conditions not to associate with each other.

The 23-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his Probation Order.

The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

Both men have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 26, 2019 a disagreement between two employees resulted in the man kicking his co-worker’s car, causing about $1,000 damage.

Last night, police located the man and he was arrested.

The 58-year-old Chatham Township man was charged with mischief under $5,000 and released pending a future court date of January 21, 2020.

Woman charged with assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 28, 2019 a verbal argument between two women known to each other escalated into a physical altercation.

Last night, the 30-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

She was released pending a future court of January 29, 2020.

Man charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a noise complaint in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police located the man responsible.

He was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was released this morning.

Mischief at hair salon in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime Monday night, unknown suspects smashed the rear door window of a hair salon on Taylor Avenue, causing about $1,000 damage.

Theft of tools in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspects entered an unlocked utility trailer on Queen Line and stole two bags of scrap brass, two pails of scrap copper along with a Stihl chainsaw.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $700.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime yesterday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. unknown suspects entered an unlocked apartment on Adelaide Street North and stole an Xbox gaming system.
