Man charged with mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police arrested a man for five counts of mischief under $5,000 yesterday.

Around 6:20 a.m. a man attended the area of Mary Street in Chatham and kicked a door causing damage, broke windows by throwing a rock through them and broke a patio table.

The man proceeded to smash a windshield on a vehicle then continue onto King St. W. where he smashed windows at Riverview Gardens Retirement home and caused damage to another vehicle.

The 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.

B&E in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Blenheim.

Sometime between February 1 and February 3, unknown suspects forced their way into grain elevator on Industrial Road.

There was approximately $100 damages to property.

Man charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police have arrested a man following an investigation of domestic violence.

On February 1 a man was involved in a confrontation with his partner resulting in the man causing damage to property and gaining entry to her location, on his entry the male brandished a weapon.

The man left prior to police arrival.

The man was later arrested at the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters on February 3 for mischief under $5,000 and weapons dangerous.

The 37-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending bail hearing.

Public intoxication

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police responded to a report of an unwanted person on Grand Ave. E.

On police arrival a 44-year-old man was located.

Police say he was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

He was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence Act and held in custody until sober.
