A power outage is being experienced in Wallaceburg this morning, February 22, 2020, after a hydro pole was struck.
“Crews are on site responding to an accident involving a pole in Wallaceburg,” Entegrus officials tweeted at 7:49 a.m.
“Outage currently in the Margaret St. Area. Thank you for your patience while crews perform repairs.”
Entegrus says a total of 675 customers are without power.
“We are working hard to restore service as quickly as possible, thank you for your patience,” Entegrus officials added.
Just after 10:30 a.m., Entegrus officials said power should be restored by 11 a.m.
“There is approx 700 customers out in Wallaceburg while crews complete switching for a broken pole to be changed power should be restored in about 30 minutes.”
