Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: On February 27, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 east of Tilbury involving two transport trucks.
As a result of the collision, one driver has been transported to hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
All westbound lanes of Highway 401 between the Tilbury South ONRoute and Mill Street were closed for the duration of the investigation.
Police were on scene with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and firefighters.
