Fatal crash just outside of Wallaceburg

One person has been killed and two more people are in critical condition following a crash on Highway 40, just outside of Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege on March 8, 2020 at approximately 4:25 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham-Kent Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Chatham-Kent Fire Department responded to a two motor vehicle collision on St. Clair Road (Highway 40) between Border Road and Heritage Line.

“One party has been pronounced deceased at the scene and two other parties have been transported in critical condition,” OPP officials said in a press release.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit is investigating and the above section of St. Clair Road will remain closed until the investigation is complete and the vehicles are removed.
