The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating a fatal crash that took place just outside of Ridgetown on Sunday night.
Police officials allege last night, just before 7:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Victoria Road and Gosnell Line.
“A 22-year-old Chatham man was traveling westbound on Gosnell Line when he struck a vehicle travelling southbound on Victoria Road and another vehicle stopped at the intersection,” police officials allege.
“Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, the man was pronounced deceased.”
The four occupants in the other two vehicles were all transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a media release.
The Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.
