Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, while on general patrol police located a man currently wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police service for theft.

The 24 year old Chatham man was arrested and later released pending a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, while on general patrol police located a man currently wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police service for theft and possession of stolen property, along with breaching his probation order.

The 50-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and later released pending a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, while on general patrol police located a man currently wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police service for failing to comply with his release order.

Search incident to arrest police located a small amount of Fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

He has been released pending a future court date.

Traffic enforcement on Longwoods Road

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, members of the community patrol branch conducted a traffic enforcement on Longwoods Road.

Hundreds of motorist were observed and police issued 12 provincial offence notices for speeding.

Police would like to remind motorist that road safety remains a top priority and police will continue to conduct traffic enforcement.

Break and enters

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning between 12 a.m., and 4 a.m., unknown suspects enter a garage on Riverview Line.

Once inside, the suspects rummaged through vehicles and removed approximately $1,000 worth of property.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: As reported yesterday, on Friday, May 1, 2020 unknown suspects broke into several storage units on Lambton Line.

It has been reported to police that two additional storage units were entered.
