Lambton OPP are investigating after a fatal crash between a transport and a motor vehicle.
OPP officials allege on May 4, 2020 at approximately 12:30 p.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and St. Clair Fire Department attended the intersection of Petrolia Line and Kimball Road in St. Clair Township in relation to a motor vehicle collision between a transport truck and a motor vehicle.
“One party was pronounced deceased at scene,: OPP officials said in a press release issued at 2:25 p.m.
“One driver was transported the local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the motor vehicle was transported to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next-of-kin notification has been completed, OPP officials say.
OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are on scene to assist with the investigation.
“The intersection of Petrolia Line and Kimball Road will be closed for several hours,” OPP officials say.
“Please use an alternate route to avoid delays.”
