Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a woman reported to police that her ex-husband continues to communicate with her, even though he’s currently bound by conditions not to.

Officers located the man and he was arrested.

The 68-year-old Wheatley man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Arrest leads to drug charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 16, 2019 a man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend a specific woman’s home in Chatham.

Last night, the man attended the woman’s residence and police were notified.

Officers located the man in the woman’s driveway.

Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl.

The 38-year-old Chatham man has been charged with breaching his Probation Order and drug possession.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early yesterday morning, police arrested a man wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at Walmart in Wallaceburg, failing to attend court and for his fingerprints.

A 34-year-old Chatham man was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.

He was released with a future court date of July 14, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a man wanted in connection with theft of wiring from a business on Queen Street in Chatham.

A 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with mischief over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.

He was released pending a future court date of July 28, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police located a man wanted for robbery, being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, being in possession of property obtained by a crime and failing to attend court.

The 46-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police arrested a woman wanted for damaging a vehicle in a parking lot on Keil Drive in Chatham earlier this week.

A 40-year-old woman of no fixed address was charged with mischief under $5,000 and released pending a future court date of July 29, 2020.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the past weekend, unknown suspects entered a storage shed behind a business on Grand Avenue East, causing about $2,000 damage.

Once inside, the suspects stole two large wooden Westminster clocks, sonic cleaner and jewelry chest.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $4,350.
