Howard J. Rees Foundation donates to C-K Hospice

The Howard J. Rees Foundation cares about the community of Chatham-Kent.

They recently proved this by making a donation of $25,000 to support the Chatham-Kent Hospice, local officials say.

“We are very grateful for this generous donation,” stated Jodi Maroney, executive director for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.

“What a wonderful gift to receive during such uncertain times. Even through a pandemic, our staff continue to provide compassionate care to our residents and their families. This is only possible because of the generosity of our donors like the Howard J. Rees Foundation.”

The hospice relies on donations to cover ongoing operational expenses.

These funds will be used to provide local families with residential hospice care at no cost to them.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is responsible for the fundraising activities needed to support Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Their mission is to enhance the financial sustainability of the Chatham Kent Hospice by working with the community to raise funds, awareness and understanding to enable compassionate, quality near end-of-life experiences for the residents of Chatham-Kent.

Hospice officials say they require $106,000 in donations each month to support the operating needs of the Hospice.
