Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between May 16 and May 19, unknown suspects broke the lock on a shed to gain entry.

A red Torro self-propelled lawnmower was stolen.

The lawnmower is valued at $650.

Police say the lawnmower has been found.

Man arrested for fail to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 30-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged for failing to comply with release order.

The man was released from custody on May 13, 2020 with several conditions.

One of the conditions that he was to abide to was to abstain from communications directly or indirectly with a female party.

On May 19, 2020, the male was found to be in the company of the female.

Through investigation, it was determined that he was also breaching an order to reside at a specific address and that he was on house arrest.

The man has been held pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for fail to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a woman for failing to comply with a release order.

A 29-year-old Chatham woman has been charged for failing to abstain from communicating with a male party directly or indirectly after a report of a suspicious male and female was received.

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
