The investigation is ongoing after a fatal fire in Erieau early yesterday morning.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, May 26, emergency crews responded to a home fully engulfed by fire on Kerr Avenue.
“A 73-year-old woman was found deceased in the residence,” police officials said in a media release.
“A post-mortem will be conducted today in London.”
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office attended the scene yesterday to assist with determining the origin and cause of the fire, police say.
