The Wallaceburg Soccer Association has announced the cancellation of the 2020 season.
“Due to the uncertainty of the COVID 19 virus, the Wallaceburg Soccer Association has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season for all adult and youth programs,” the group posted on social media.
“During this pandemic and always, our top priority remains safety for players, officials, coaches and families and it is becoming apparent this cannot occur at this time.”
Wallaceburg Soccer official said in order to provide refunds to all families at this time, the executive will be returning money in one of two ways:
– If people submitted a player entry online through wallaceburgsoccer.ca, they will receive a refund in the amount they paid Wallaceburg Soccer through SportsEngine.
– The second method involves the Wallaceburg Soccer Association sending a refund in the amount paid through e-transfer. If anyone paid in person at one of their sign-up dates at the arena, they are asking people to send an email to contact@wallaceburgsoccer.com for confirmation or correction.
“Wallaceburg Soccer will begin sending out refunds on or about June 1st and this process may take several weeks to complete as we are limited in the number or transactions we may complete in a day,” Wallaceburg Soccer Association officials said.
