The top student athletes in Chatham-Kent were recognized on Thursday, June 4, as the winners of the 2020 Jack Parry Awards were announced.
Reports say Dresden’s Brady Grubb, from Lambton-Kent Composite School, was named as the male recipient of the annual award. Camille Blain, from Chatham-Kent Secondary School, was named as the female recipient.
Both Grubb and and Blain take home a $1,000 scholarship.
The award is based upon academics, athletics and community service, both in the school and in the community.
There was no formal ceremony this year due to COVID-19.
Wallaceburg District Secondary School’s Megan McCarter and John McGregor’s Ryan Baker were last year’s recipients.
