Let’s hear it for pets

Let’s hear it for PETS!

During this tough time, I’ve discovered that the only real consistent part of my life, other than friends, is my three rescues: Jersey, 13 1/2-year-old Shih’Tzu; Bella, eight-year-old cat; and Dexter, a seven-year-old cat.

You may remember Dexter, as he’s been on Sydenham Current before! Details, below:

‘The cat came back’

Jersey gets me out. Loves to walk daily and she loves my boat.

And hates the water… go figure.

The cats are a different story.

Both are indoor cats, both are cuddly, smart, loving and affectionate.

But, they don’t always get along with each other.

If I want to nap or sleep at night, I have to move at least two of them, just to get INTO bed!

All four of us sleep together all night, despite the loud purring and snoring.

I have to get Jersey out of bed EVERY morning.

Living with cats has been a sharp learning curve for me.

I had never had a cat, didn’t want one, and never liked them.

Now, I’d be such a mess if anything happened to any of them.

If you have pets, treasure them.

I do.
