Front door & ATM smashed at Ray’s Mini Mart

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating after a break and enter at Ray’s Mini Mart on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers has also highlighted the incident as their ‘Crime of the Week.’

“On Tuesday June 9, at approximately 3:30 a.m. an unknown suspect broke the glass front door of Ray’s Mini Mart on Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg, Crime Stoppers officials said in a media release.

“Once inside the suspect began smashing at the ATM machine with a crow bar causing approximately $4,000 in damages. The suspect fled the store having been unable to access the machines cash box.”

Crime Stoppers officials say the suspect is described as male, 5’8 to 6’2, 180 lbs. to 200 lbs., wearing light coloured shorts and a hoodie with dark deck shoes and black belt.

this suspect,” Crime Stoppers officials say.

“You could earn a cash reward.”
