Man in crisis apprehended in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service official allege: On Thursday, officers responded to the report of a man in crisis running through traffic in the area of Grand Avenue and St. Clair Street in Chatham.

As officers attempted to apprehend the man for his own safety, a struggle ensued.

The man was taken into custody and transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for an assessment.

The investigation is on-going.
