Police: Impaired driving, drug trafficking, mischief, stolen ATV

Mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 27, a female threw a bottle through a residential window causing $600 in damages.

The female was identified.

She turned herself in to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and was released with a future court date.

Mischief on Richmond Street in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police were contacted for a disturbance of a male yelling.

Investigation revealed that the male had damaged two separate doors at a complex in the area.

The male was arrested for two counts of mischief.

He was transported o Chatham-Kent Headquarters and later released with a future court date.

Assault and neighbour dispute on Thelma Street

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police were contacted by two separate complainants.

Neighbours had been involved in a dispute.

Through investigation, it was found that neighbours had assaulted each other during this dispute.

Both parties were arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters.

They were both with future court dates and conditions to stay away from each other.

Bail violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A woman was involved with police earlier in the day and advised to stay away from a Houston street address.

The woman returned later in the evening under the influence of alcohol.

She was currently on a release not to consume alcohol.

She was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and held for bail.

Impaired driving on Wedgewood Avenue

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A male was observed with an open can of alcohol.

He was eventually stopped by a patrol officer.

The driver was arrested and charged with Over 80mgs and released with a future court date.

The diver was also charged with having a suspended licence.

Crash and impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A male pulled into a driveway on Creek Line.

While backing out this vehicle struck a tree on the property.

The driver was located and was arrested.

He was charged with impaired and over 80mgs and released with a future court date.

Warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While doing a follow up for a previous incident it was brought to an officers attention a suspicious male was in the area that appeared to be avoiding police.

The male was approached and immediately fled on foot.

He was caught up with and recognized as being wanted for several outstanding warrants from Chatham-Kent.

Subsequent to the arrest the male was found to have in his possession drugs and paraphernalia.

The man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking of a controlled substance (cocaine).

He was held for bail on outstanding warrants and current charges.

Bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: As a result of a driving complaint a vehicle was stopped in the Blenheim area.

The driver was on a release not to have alcohol in his system when out of his residence.

He was arrested for breach of undertaking and released with a future court date.

Stolen ATV

A complainant reported to police that sometime overnight on July 2 an ATV was stolen from a property on Baseline Road in Thamesville.

The vehicle was a 2019 Red Polaris side by side
