There is a hole in our family and our hearts are hurting with the recent passing of Karel Vitamvas Sr. on July 10th 2020, a dear husband of nearly 63 years to Olga Vitamvas, her first and only love.
A loving father to Karel Vitamvas Jr and father in law to Cheryl Knight, he won the heart of Cheryl’s fur baby Sable.
Karel leaves several relatives in the Czech Republic.
Karel (88) was able to spend his last days in the comfort of home surrounded by loved ones just as he wished.
Karel immigrated from Czechoslovakia (now the Czech republic) in 1969 to Canada and fell in love with the country where he and his small family made their home and became Canadian citizens.
He enjoyed his many travels throughout North America.
Karel will be dearly missed and remembered for his love of nature (he loved to feed the deer, birds and squirrels when they lived in Tobermory) and his quirky sense of humour.
Karel will be cremated and no visitation or funeral is planned (as were his wishes).
A celebration of life may be planned at a later date for a few close family and friends.
