“We were looking at posting some of our videos to YouTube when we came across this beauty.
Take a look at the old barn circa 1980.
Love the character of the arena with the designs on the walls, the colour of the seating, and no netting or even glass along the side boards.
We believe this was the Wallaceburg Islanders and Flyers battling it out in a Novice minor hockey weekend match in late March 1980.
You’ll hear Jeff Griffith and Brian Irwin on commentary with coach/player names like Chris Cadotte, Gord & George Lilley, Charlie & Ryan Masefield, Blair Cameron, Darcy Lunn, Matt Rabideau, Scott Christian, Peter Johnson, Bruce Wright, Ryan Chase, Brad Crawford, John Quinlan, Chris Miskokaman, Brian Everaert, Stuart Rogers, Rob Babbitt, Brett Carr, Ben Tight, Mike & Pete Vandeveire, Aaron Bechard, Cliff and Chris Young.”
