$223,000 drug bust in Lambton County

Lambton OPP official allege: On September 10, 2020, members of the Lambton County Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Canine Unit (K9), and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a warrant on St. Clair Street, Town of Watford.

As a result of the execution of the search, police arrested and charged two people. Police seized illegal drugs consisting of approximately 1000g of suspected cocaine, cannabis edibles, LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, Canadian and United States currency and weapons.

The Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit attended to assist with the investigation. As a result, they also seized property from the residence.

The total value of the seizure is over $223,000.

As a result of the warrant, four people were arrested and charged with the following, pursuant to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act;

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Five Counts)

– Unauthorized Possession of Weapon (Three Counts)

– Possession of Cannabis for Selling, pursuant to the Cannabis Act

All accused were released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia at a later date.
