Police investigating a stabbing in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On September 1, 2020, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers from Community Patrol responded to the Eastland Plaza, located on Indian Road, regarding a stabbing that had taken place.

Upon arrival officers located two victims (both 22 years of age) that had been stabbed.

Both were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and were released shortly thereafter.

Members of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation branch have since continued their investigation and were able to determine that five suspects were involved in the assault and have since requested warrants for their arrests.

Charges range from assault, to assault with a weapon, to aggravated assault.

Due to the fact that the five suspects are young offenders their names will not be released.

As of this date four of the five have been arrested with one still outstanding.

In this matter it is alleged that the suspects targeted the victims due to some sort of disagreement amongst them.
