The Dundas Bridge, over the Sydenham River in Wallaceburg, is set to be closed next week for bridge maintenance and repairs.
The work is set for Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a rain date scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
The Dundas Bridge is located between Margaret Avenue and Fork Street.
The following roads in the vicinity of the Dundas Bridge will be closed:
– Margaret Avenue will be closed from Main Street to the Dundas Bridge
– James Street will be closed from Nelson Street to the Dundas Bridge
– Wellington Street will be closed at Nelson Street
– Fork Street will be closed from Wellington to Dundas Bridge
“All lanes closed with no access across the Dundas Bridge,” Infrastructure and Engineering Services with the Municipality said in a media release.
“Local traffic only on Margaret Avenue, James Street, Wellington Street and Fork Street.”
Municipal officials say the detour route is Murray Street, to Wallace Street, to McNaughton Avenue.
