Impaired driving charges laid in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP officials allege: On September 30, 2020 at approximately 5 p.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol on St. Clair Parkway in St. Clair Township.

A Lambton OPP member initiated a traffic stop.

Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and provided two samples over the legal limit.

A 54-year-old St. Clair Township man has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs and Operation While Impaired- Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia, Ontario on November 23, 2020.
