SaveMax holding grand opening in downtown Wallaceburg

The SaveMax Liquidation Centre is set to hold a grand opening on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.

The new business, located at 708 James Street in downtown Wallaceburg, made the announcement on their Facebook page this week.

“SaveMax opens Friday, Saturday, Sunday… two truck loads of products every week,” the business said on their Facebook page.

“Name brand shoes, clothing, furniture, home appliances, stoves, fridge, freezer, mattress, groceries… at super low prices. Every week new products. Shop with confidence… guaranteed lowest prices.”

SaveMax also posted a preview on their Facebook page of some of the products that will be available for purchase.

“Thanks to all of you for best wishes and support,” the company posted on social media earlier this month.

Wallaceburg Councillor Aaron Hall said on social media that Councillor Carmen McGregor, Mayor Darrin Canniff and himself were looking forward to attending the grand opening.

“This is a welcomed addition to our Downtown Wallaceburg BIA,” Hall posted on Facebook.

A real estate sign recently came down from the property and construction crews were spotted on the roof of the downtown building for the last couple of weeks.

Back in 2017, the then 33-year-old 17,000 square feet commercial retail, warehouse and shopping center building and property was listed on the market for $695,000.

The building used to be home to Liquidation World, which closed several years ago.
