Police: Sexual assault, B&E’s, arrest

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 4 p.m., police responded to a break and enter in the area of Adelaide Street South in Chatham.

Jewelry and gift cards were reported stolen from a safe that the suspects broke open.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 4 p.m., police responded to a break and enter in the area of Spence Line in Muirkirk.

The suspects were observed to be operating a white van.

Sexual assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 9 p.m. a male who was wanted for multiple accounts of sexual assault, sexual interference and inviting to sexual touching, was arrested by police.

The male was charged and released at the Chatham-Kent police station with a future court date.

Arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on general patrol, at approximately 4 a.m., police located a male in the area of Riverview Drive.

The 24-year-old Chatham man was found to be breaching his probation and subsequently arrested.

The male was brought to the Chatham-Kent police station and released with a future court date.
