Tilbury & Wheatley libraries temporarily suspend open hours

Due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in the area, the Chatham-Kent Public Library is changing scheduled library service to the Tilbury and Wheatley communities to help keep residents safe and healthy.

The Province of Ontario announced on Friday that Windsor-Essex, which borders Wheatley and Tilbury, is entering the ‘Grey-Lockdown’ tier of the Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework.

Detail, here.

Municipal officials say effective Monday, December 14, Tilbury and Wheatley branches will suspend open hours and offer curbside service only.

“While CKPL regrets that we will not be able to visit with you inside those branches temporarily, staff will be pleased to continue to offer Curbside Service in place of open hours,” library officials said in a press release.

For more information and detailed curbside service hours, call the Tilbury Branch at 519-682-0100 or the Wheatley Branch at 519-825-7131 or ‘Ask CKPL’ by phone at 519-354-2940, text at 519-401-7174, chat on Facebook @CKPLibrary or email CKPL at cklibrary@chatham-kent.ca.
