Male arrested for public intoxication in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 12, shortly after midnight, a 39-year-old man was found passed out in the area of Thames St.

The male was arrested for public intoxication and was later released when he sobered up.

Female arrested for shoplifting in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11 a.m., a 36-year-old woman was arrested after stealing a pair of pants from Sportcheck.

The female was also further charged with stealing four bottles of alcohol from the LCBO the previous day.

The female was charged with theft under $5,000 x 2 and possession of stolen property x 2 and released on a future court date of January 13, 2021.

Break and enter in Chatham at Mike’s Place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 2 a.m. on December 13, unknown suspects threw a piece of porcelain through the window, gaining entry.

A tablet was stolen from the business and the investigation is still ongoing.
