Mischief to several buildings in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 22, 2020 at approximately 3:20 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a man attempting to break a window to a business St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police responded to the area and located the suspect.

The suspect was arrested without incident.

A search of the area revealed seven occurrences of mischief and the accused was charged accordingly.

The accused in this matter was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 22, 2020 the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a dispute in Chatham.

Once on scene an involved party, a 36 year old Chatham man, was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

The accused in this matter was found to be in need of medical attention and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The accused was to remain in custody pending the resolution of his medical needs.

Man arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 22, 2020 a 29-year-old Chatham man was located in the city of Chatham by a Chatham-Kent Patrol Officer and found to have an outstanding warrant.

The man was arrested, processed and released pending a future court date.

Crime of the Week

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers officials allege: On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at approximately 4 a.m., unknown suspects entered the rear garage of TAJ Variety located at 187 King Street East in Chatham causing about $100 in damages.

Once inside the suspects stole several cases of 2L bottles of Pepsi and a Daymack e-bike valued at $1,000.

The e-bike is red and white with three Chicago Blackhawk Stickers on the front of the bike.
