Following on the provincial shutdown announced Monday by Premier Doug Ford, effective December 26 all municipal arenas will be closed to the public for a minimum of 28 days.
Staff will be issuing reimbursements for all unused ice permits, Municipal officials confirmed.

Municipal officials say given staff constraints over the holidays, refunds should be issued early January.
“In recognition of these trying times, I wish to thank all arena patrons for their ongoing support of our arena staff, COVID protocols and understanding over the past season,” stated Jeff Bray, director of parks, recreation and cemeteries, in a press release.
“Together we have been able to provide opportunities for our communities to stay active.”
