Break and enter in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 2, 2021 at approximately 7 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg in response to a break and enter.

An unknown suspect stole approximately $5,000 worth of electronics from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Man arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on general patrol near Erieau Road, an officer initiated a traffic stop on Middle Line.

While speaking to the driver, the officer learned that the driver was wanted on multiple warrants.

The 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested as a result of the warrants, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and kept in custody until a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on general patrol, an officer observed a man, well known to police, walking on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.

The 44-year-old Chatham man was confirmed to be wanted on multiple warrants, was subsequently arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and kept in custody until a bail hearing.
