Man charged with impaired driving in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, police received a call of a suspected impaired driver on St. Clair Street.

The vehicle was located, and through investigation, police believed the man was driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested.

The man was driven to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 62-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

The man was later released from custody with a future court date.

Female arrested for breach of peace in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 police attended an address on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg for a family dispute.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested for breach of the peace and transported to police headquarters, where she was later released from custody.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, January 9, 2021 at approximately 9 a.m., police were dispatched to a Queens Line address in Tilbury, responding to a break and enter.

Unknown suspects entered the garage and stole approximately $500 worth of tools.
