The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating after a vehicle was located in the Sydenham River outside of Wallaceburg.

Police officials allege yesterday afternoon an officer attended the area of McGregor Line and Cemetery Road, in regards to the guard rail being down.

“Upon investigation, it was determined that a vehicle had stuck the guard rail and subsequently went into the river,” police officials allege.

A Chatham-Kent Police Traffic officer attended and assisted in reconstructing the collision, police officials added.

“The vehicle is believed to be linked to another stolen vehicle in Wallaceburg,” police officials said in a media release.
