A sixth person has died from COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent.
The death was confirmed on the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit’s ‘current situation’ page on Friday, January 29, 2021.
Jeff Moco, a spokesperson for CK Public Health, told the Sydenham Current the deceased was a man in his 70’s.
The first COVID-19 death in Chatham-Kent, a woman in her 80’s, was back in April, while the second, a woman in her 50’s, was at the beginning of August.
The third death, a woman in her 80’s, died on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The fourth death was a 91-year-old Chatham man, who died on Thursday morning, January 14, 2021, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus.
The fifth death was a woman in her 80s, who died on January 16, 2021.
