Wallaceburg and District Historical Society recruiting new members

The Wallaceburg and District Historical Society is recruiting new members to join their board.

“We are a renewed Board of Directors for the Wallaceburg and District Historical Society with fresh ideas and new dedication to ensuring our commitment to our organization and community,” Historical Society officials said in a media release.

The objectives for the board, include:

– Collect significant historical material of Wallaceburg and surrounding districts for present and future generations.

– Create long term relationships with the community, schools, and businesses.

– Learn, change, and grow to attract outlying regions and tourists to our town and our memorable Museum and facilities.

“We are actively recruiting for new members for our Board of Directors,” Historical Society officials say.

“Please contact 519-627-8962 and look for the upcoming announcement for our Annual General Meeting.”

Historical Society officials added: “We are looking forward to seeing you in person when we open, by appointment only, the end of March/early April. We hope to tempt you at our Annual Vendor Sale in April, and we look forward to you joining us in the Crawford Langstaff Parkette for a Grand Reopening when the weather warms up for special celebrations.”

The current Board of Directors, includes:

Staff are in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
