First health care worker in Chatham-Kent receives COVID-19 vaccine

This morning health system partners welcomed the first health care workers in Chatham-Kent to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic located at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

Officials at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance say over the coming days staff and essential care givers at long term care and high-risk retirement homes will receive their first dose at the clinic.

Hospital officials say pictured with this story is the first health care worker in Chatham-Kent to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Rick Walker, maintenance supervisor at Riverview Gardens, a long term care home in Chatham, received his inoculation of the Pfizer vaccine from Dr. David Colby, Medical Officer of Health for Chatham-Kent.
