MOROSICS, Judit “Judy” Maria – Age 73 of Sombra, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Beloved wife of Karoly “Charlie” Morosics.
Loving mother of Rita Morosics and Erika Alexander (Jef).
Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Sarah Alexander.
Her sister ZsuZsanna Schmidt and her extended family from Hungary will also miss her terribly as well as by her extended Canadian family who she loved like her own, Noreen and Jessica Nantais.
Predeceased by her parents Istvan and Emerencia (Pozvai) Mosonyi.
Judy moved to Canada from Hungary with her husband and taught herself English with some help of her restaurant patrons and the crossword puzzle.
Together they operated Riverview Restaurant in Sombra for 52 years.
They enjoyed travelling many places around the world with their friends Judy and Gabe.
She was always ready to lend a helping hand or a sympathetic ear and thusly had many friends all around the province.
Judy persevered through her first brain tumour with her characteristic strength and determination.
Anyone that knew her would say that it was probably her stubbornness that helped the most but ultimately it was too much even for her.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
