Catharina Hooyer formerly of Dresden

Catharina (Kay) Hooyer, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Dresden, entered into peaceful rest with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, March 5, 2021 at her home at the age of 92.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, the daughter of the late William and Marie Dieleman.

Kay was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Chatham, The Dresden Horticultural Society and the Wabash Women’s Institute.

Beloved wife of the late Everett Hooyer (2013).

Loving mother of Marilyn Oudman (Andrew), Betty Bouma, Wayne Hooyer (Martha), Edward Hooyer (Laurie) and the late Glen Hooyer 2004 (Irene Hooyer).

Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and their spouses and 34 great grandchildren.

Dear sister of Jane Dieleman, Adrian Dieleman, (the late Attie), Marie Verburg (the late John), Jim Dieleman (the late Ann) and Wilma VanGurp (the late Jake).

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by grandchildren Tyler Oudman and Becky Bouma.

Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Wallaceburg Christian School or Charity of your choice.
