A fire at Veolia Environmental Services storage building, located in the Bloomfield Business Park outside of Chatham, was quickly brought under control by firefighters on Wednesday morning, March 10, 2021.
Fire officials say 35 responders, from Station #1 – Chatham, Station #15 – Raleigh North and Station #16 – Raleigh South, attended the blaze at 141 Prosperity Way at approximately 6:45 a.m.
“Fire was quickly under control thereby not allowing dangerous / toxic smoke to continue to pose a harmful situation to the immediate area,” fire officials said in a press release.
The cause of the blaze is undetermined.
Fire officials estimate that $15,000 was caused as a result.
