COVID-19 vaccine freezers are empty once again in C-K

CK Public Health officials say their vaccine freezers are “officially empty again” and they are ready for more vaccine in Chatham-Kent.

“Thanks to the hard work of the #CKVaccinationTeam, we have used up our current supply as quickly as we can, and have completed our vaccinations for this week,” public health officials posted on social media on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

“The CK COVID Vaccination Clinic at the Bradley Centre will therefore be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday as we wait for our next vaccine shipment to arrive.”

Clinic hours of operation will continue to fluctuate as vaccine continues to be limited, public health officials added.

“We look forward to reopening the clinic on Tuesday March 23,” CK Public Health officials say.

“Mobile outreach vaccination clinics will continue to rollout this weekend. Keep practicing public health, and keep each other safe. Sticking to public health measures is more important than ever; this will give our community the best chance to get us all to the vaccine safely and soon. Thank you Chatham-Kent for your continued support.”

Public health officials said as of March 18, 2021 a total of 15,845 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered to date.
