Female arrested on strength of outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly before 8 a.m. on March 19, 2021 a 20-year-old Chatham women was located in the area of Park Avenue East in Chatham.
The women was found to have an outstanding warrant, was charged and subsequently released with a future court date.
Male arrested on strength of outstanding property related warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: During the early afternoon hours on March 19, 2021 a 27-year-old Wheatley resident was located and arrested in relation to an outstanding warrant.
Investigation revealed the previous incident involved charges related to possession of stolen property.
The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held for a bail.
Male arrested on strength of outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: During the late afternoon hours on March 19, 2021 a 25-year-old Chatham man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was located in the area of Richmond Street in Chatham.
The male was arrested, charged and subsequently released with a future court date.
Male arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on March 19, 2021, while on general patrol, officers observed a vehicle being operated in a manner consistent with impaired driving behavior.
As a result, a traffic stop was initiated and the male driver, a 28-year-old Newmarket resident, failed the standard field sobriety testing.
The male was then transported to Headquarters where he provided samples of his breath, registering over the legal limit.
The male as charged accordingly and also faced an additional charge of drive while under suspension.
The male was released with a future court date.
Roadway safety blitz conducted
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 19, 2021 members of the Community Patrol Branch conducted a roadway safety blitz in multiple locations throughout the Municipality.
In total, 19 Provincial Offence Notices were issued in relation to driving and occupant safety infractions.
