Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission officials say fire hydrant flushing will take place this week in Dresden and Chatham Township, east of Kimball Road.
The work is set to begin Monday, May 3, 2021 until approximately Friday, May 7, 2021.
PUC officials say hours of flushing will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Residents may experience low water pressure or discoloured water as a result of flushing,” PUC officials said on social media.
“Caution should be exercised during this period for possible discoloured water prior to doing laundry to ensure water is clear. Should you experience discoloured water, allow water to run five to 10 minutes, which should alleviate the problem.”
PUC officials added: “If discolouration of the water continues after 24 to 48 hours of normal use, please notify Public Works at 311.”
