A frost advisory has been issued across Chatham-Kent.
“Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas,” Environment Canada officials say.
“Ground temperatures are expected to fall to near zero degrees Celsius tonight into Sunday morning. Frost is likely.”
Areas near Lake Ontario and Lake Erie will likely remain a few degrees warmer which should prevent frost formation, forecasters say.
“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas,” Environment Canada officials say.
“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
